The Feline gear from the Cat School is the best light armor set in the Witcher 3. As with other Witcher school gear sets, you need to find diagrams to craft the armor pieces and weapons for every level (basic, enhanced, superior, mastercrafted, and grandmaster) of the set.
We’ve put together a detailed walkthrough for finding every diagram of the set. This includes map locations for the Feline armor, boots, trousers, gauntlets, silver sword, and steel sword diagrams.

Note: if you’re having trouble finding the diagram chests, look for a Wolf Head symbol; examining itwill give you a general area to search.
Basic Feline Gear Locations
As with all Witcher school armor sets, you can either buy maps to start the Scavenger Hunt: Cat School Gear quest or head straight to the diagram locations below (which will also trigger the quest). The map can be purchased from a merchant in the village of Blackbough.
Feline Armor Location
Go to the cave in northern Novigrad. In the cave, take the leftmost tunnel, and make all the statues turn inwards to open the secret trap door, then loot the laboratory key at the bottom – you can ignore the drowners.
Return to the start of the cave and this time take the main route where the Golem is – behind it will be a door that you can now unlock, fight the mini-boss, and loot the diagrams.
Feline Crossbow Location
The Feline crossbow diagram is inside the capsized ship to the south-west of Novigrad
Feline Silver Sword Location
The Feline silver sword diagram is behind a breakable wall to the north-east of Oxenfurt.
Feline Steel Sword Location
The Feline steel sword diagram is at the lower level of the castle tower south of Novigrad, behind a breakable door.

Enhanced Feline Gear Locations
Enhanced Feline Armor Location
On the second floor of a ruined building directly east of Oxenfurt in eastern Velen.
Enhanced Feline Boots Location
Just inside the entrance to a cave in eastern Velen – the same cave where you get the Royal Wyvern contract (“Phantom of the Trade Route”).
Enhanced Feline Trousers Location
Under a house in Oxenfurt. You will have to enter the house, go down the stairs to the basem*nt, and then take a ladder into the sewer. In the sewer, you will find a mechanism that opens a hidden door to reveal the diagram’s chest.
Enhanced Feline Gauntlets Location
Found at an abandoned mine site to the west of Oxenfurt, in a small cave under the wooden stairs.
Enhanced FelineSteel Sword Location
Inside the same cave where you do the “Fool’s Gold” DLC quest in eastern Velen. The chest is located near the cave entrance, where the path turns to the left.
Enhanced Feline Silver Sword Location
Just past Novigrad’s eastern (Oxenfurt) gate. Climb up the ladder near the quest location, go inside the door, and then up another set of stairs and you will find the diagram chest.
Superior Feline Gear Locations
Superior Feline Armor Location
All four armor diagrams are found at a single location in eastern Velen, to the northwest of Crookback Bog. The area is guarded by a level 27 Earth Elemental but you don’t have to fight it – the chest is located inside nearby ruins.
Superior Feline Steel Sword Location
This diagram is found in the far north of the map, inside a cavern to the north of Novigrad. It is guarded by a level 19 Golem.
Superior feline Silver Sword Location
This diagram is found in a cave to the south of Novigrad; there will be a couple of level 18 Nekkers here. The chest itself is up on a ledge, behind some breakable rocks. You will need to use Aard to access it.
Mastercrafted Feline Gear Locations
Mastercrafted Feline Armor & Silver Sword Location
All of the mastercrafted Feline armor diagrams are Inside a cave on Faroe – the southernmost island in Skellige. The chest is located just behind the 2statues.
The silver sword diagram is found in a different cave on the same island. You will find two walls that you can break using Aard. The diagram chest is behind the second wall.
Mastercrafted Feline Steel Sword Location
Inside the ruined fortress of Kaer Gelen in central Ard Skellig. You will have to enter from the side because the main gate is locked. The chest is behind a set of broken metal bars, halfway up the stairs to the second level. The area is guarded by level 29 Wraiths.
Grandmaster Feline Gear Locations
To upgrade your Feline gear to grandmaster, talk to the Grandmaster Smith Lazare Lafargue in southern Beauclair to start the scavenger hunt quest or go directly to the diagram locations below.
Grandmaster Feline Armor Location
The grandmaster feline armor diagram is found at an estate in Northern Toussaint, to the east of the Arthach Palace Ruins. To get inside, walk around the wall until you find the scaffolding and use it to climb over.
After defeating some bandits and talking to an NPC, head into the red house; inside, you will find a painting that contains the grandmaster Feline armor diagram. Read the note that came with it for the next diagram location.
Grandmaster Feline Trousers & Boots Location
The next highlighted diagram location will take you to a nearby Hanse bandit base found inside a bog. You’ll have to fight through a horde of bandits and then walk into the central tower and go right. You’ll find a chest with the grandmaster Feline trousers and boots diagrams here, and a note for the next location.
Grandmaster Feline Steel Sword, Silver Sword, and Gauntlets Location
At the final nearby diagram location, you’ll find a monster Den and a cave. After killing the archespores, loot the bag at the end of the cave to get the last three grandmaster Feline diagrams: steel sword, silver sword, and gauntlets.
You can now travel back to the grandmaster armorer in Beauclair to craft the complete grandmaster Feline gear set. Make sure that you have all of your mastercrafted Feline pieces; you’ll need them to craft the Grandmaster upgrades.
