Recommended to all. One of the place to visit with children. Activities for all ages. There are lots to see and experience. It was an wonderful visit. Opens at 10am every day. But please check their website for latest opening times. We spent full day but wasn't enough due to lot of waiting in the queue. Please make sure if you have little children in your party then they are at least 1.2 meter tall which is a minimum requirement for all most all rides. Ticket price is nearly £33 for children but if they are under 1.2 meter tall then not worth to visit due to they won't get in to any of the rides.I must say that the park is huge. Parking is £4 per day per car. All disabled facilities and separate entry for almost all rides. If you are visiting this place then start your day from opening time. Plenty of hot foods and beverages also available.

Overall we had a lovely visit. I'd highly recommend the app to use as a map plus to view the ride height restrictions and queue times. We used this the whole time!Lots of places to eat and enough attractions to fill your day.Parts of the park could do with some sprucing up. We noticed some ride props not working and some areas quite grubby or overgrown with weeds. We're regular visitors to another theme park which we found much better kept than Chessington. We stayed on site in the hotel (highly recommended) and it came with early access to the park. Early access only grants you access to a few rides and none of the photobooths or shops are actually open which was disappointing.I wouldn't rush back to Chessington but I'm glad we ticked it off the list. We had a fun two days with our 5yr old.

Fantastic place to visit, took our 4 year old nephew and had a great day. Plenty of rides for all ages, and being able to see all the animals was fantastic, the penguin talk was informative. I'd recommend paying £15 for the refillable drink for the day, especially if it's hot weather.

Kellie H — Google review

First time back in 15 years. A lot different to what I remember, now aimed at families instead of groups of older teenagers messing around and jumping queues which is a good thing now. Shame the park is missing some of the good old rides. Bear in mind if you want to view the animals, you would probably need 2 days due to long wait times for the rides and that's using the ride access pass.

Alex H — Google review

Was a non ride day, so only the animals, aquarium, and amazonia play area was open. Was good for a little day out, just a little crowded at times. Be aware on these days Chessington closes quite early, around 3pm.

Kirsty P — Google review

Absolutely loved it.. Best day out for my son. Semi quiet day and was was able to get on all rides. 🙌 so much to do and so much variety. Love it. The monkey walk and ride to Africa was super 👌

Really lovely resort, we stayed at the safari hotel with a fab view of the reserve and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful also.Food inside the park and hotel is a little iffy and over priced, but due to this we popped down the road to a local pub which was no bother at all and had a lovely meal. All in all it was a great stay and will be back!

Laura L — Google review

Absolutely amazing, ten years ago it was really. Fabulous and i can't say negative word against now. Phenomenal, loving every single minute. Especially Monday with no kids around and you can enjoy every ride! The Zufari ride is a must !

My family and I recently stayed at the Chessington Resort for three days, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the variety of amenities and attractions available, making it the perfect getaway for both adults and children. The hotel itself was comfortable and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We especially enjoyed the themed decor and the attention to detail throughout the resort. One of the highlights was definitely the access to the rides and the safari experience, which added an adventurous touch to our trip. Our favorite rides were **The Vampire** and **Tiger Rock**, which provided just the right mix of excitement and thrills. We also enjoyed exploring the different attractions throughout the park, and it was clear that there was something for everyone, no matter their age.Overall, Chessington Resort exceeded our expectations, offering a unique combination of fun, relaxation, and adventure. We highly recommend it to families looking for an unforgettable experience!

Words can't describe it!!!!It was , to put it simply, an amazing weekend. So beautiful indeed.Lots of crazy rides. Some regular ones.Enough fun to go round the whole family!!!!It was worth every single penny. The hotel was simply amazing!Breakfast was great and yummy! We all had our fill. The staff were extremely polite. My son had a birthday cake and balloons waiting for us in our room as we visited on his birthday. The pool was absolutely warm and beautiful to swim in, the sauna and the steam room were an added plus!It was an amazing weekend I say. Worth it!The only downside was that on Saturday of Easter there were long queues. We had to queue for up to an hour to get on the rides!!!!!!Overall? It was an amazing experience. I simply can't wait to go back. And if you do, make sure you get on the Vampire and Cobra rides. The kids absolutely loved the grufalo boat ride!

Tega E — Google review

A fun and entertaining theme park which includes a zoo. We took two kids, both under 5 and it was a full day spent with activities for all of us to enjoy. The waiting times for quite a few rides can extend to over 30 minutes so it might be worthwhile to consider the fast track options. Parking is plenty but it does cost around £4. There are good options for food and they are spread around the park.

Nethin M — Google review

Beautiful place to visit with family as rides for all ages packed with excitement. Also some crazy rides for adventure seekers. Themes of rides are amazing. Weekends in summer are busy at the place, so expect long queues for rides.

Vin K — Google review

Great day at Chessington. As with most theme parks the queues get very long on busy days. The shows are fun but lacklustre in places (need more investment).Really enjoyed the combination of rides for different ages and tastes. The animals are a fab part of the experience.

Marion B — Google review

Lovely sunny day out with my kids (my 1st visit). Lots of variety of rides for all ages. Staff were all lovely and helpful if needed to interact and easily spotted around the park. Loved all the rides able to get on especially mandrill mayhem & vampire. Fast passed a few at the cheaper prices (<£10 as £30 ones just silly prices) that we really wanted to go on and virtual queued for mandrill. Photopass was also a great plus. Loved all the themed areas and everyone had a good day. Funny watching everyone come off soaked on monkey swinger. Also really liked the park stayed open until 7pm. Think only negative was feel of the flow of the areas felt more back and forth rather than a loop and gift shops were few & small

Laura G — Google review

We really enjoyed our time here. There was a variety of rides for all ages and other entertainment like the sealife centre, the shows and animals. There are always massive queues for the big rides in places like this, be prepared. The food is well questionable though, give that a miss

Immortal J — Google review

A nice day out, but be mindful and ready to be patient of your visiting in the school holidays. The waiting times are wrong and you’ll be waiting over an hour for each ride. There’s plenty of restaurants for meals that start at £12 for each standard meal, toilets scattered and picnic areas . Everything is signposted, but you can still get lost. The rides are hosted by very young people, who are subjected to rudeness by parents trying to push in. In general, the zoo area doesn’t have many staff wondering at all to answer your questions. I saw just one. The animals looked well catered for - giraffes have plenty of space . I did question the lack of space in the lion, sea lions, and gorilla enclosure, but I’m assuming there’s a reason for this. The sea lions were restricted in the small area to swim in, so they went in circles - not nice to view. I would recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance as they are much cheaper.I’d return, but not in the holidays. I paid for close tarmac parking, but it was full.Great atmosphere for families and animal enthusiast. The place is general is clean.

Some really cute rides for the little one and some really wonderful staff. The person giving reindeer and session talks was so good and engaged so well with guests despite the fact she was clearly freezing! Would have been nice to have a few more opportunities to escape the cold a little on a very chilly day.

Donna K — Google review

It's a fun amusement park for young kids with a lot of rides. Queues can be a bit long for the popular rides, and we were left frustrated when some of the rides broke down while we were queuing. Food is quite overpriced, as is the face painting, which costs £12.95 per child! We went on the Zufari ride but was a bit disappointed that we didn't see more animals. Staff are friendly and are always willing to help. Large park close by so it's easy to find space and it's not too far to walk to the entrance.

Victor N — Google review

Really nice theme park! Basically, it’s meant for children, but we (adults) had a great time here. We especially enjoyed the Jumanji World and the Vampire zones🧛‍♂️. However, the biggest advantage is the zoo and all the animals they have there. You can find cute little monkeys and parrots 🦜🙉 that come really close to you

Sebastian K — Google review

Loved our stay at the hotel. Atmosphere was great with lots of activities for children. Facilities and standards of the room was top notch. They even left Freddo bars in the kids beds which was a nice touch! We had a great time at the zoo, staff were very informative and friendly. The breakfast was of a high standard and staff were fantastic, couldn't be any more helpful and accommodating. A special shout out to Christina for really looking after us and my 9-month old daughter at the restaurant. We were disappointed with the Sea Life section but I guess we were comparing it to the full-sized one in Blackpool/Birmingham.Overall a great weekend for the family at a very reasonable price. Being off-season we got to spend a lot of time at the parts of the zoo we really enjoyed. We got to experience some great moments with the tigers, lions and the giraffes.Keep up the great work guys!

Hassan S — Google review

To start with the negatives. The animals in the zoo generally looked like they were in a terrible state. The whole park seemed very shabby. Lots of areas which desperately needed a lick of paint or a good scrub. And the toilets were not at all clean. It just felt like a business that was down on its luck and very tired. So now the positives. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The app was very good. And we enjoyed the rides and even without paying for Reserve and Ride the queues were doable.Overall I'm not sure I would recommend this place. Cleanliness and maintenance have to be the number one priority for a family oriented venue and I just feel Chessington is seriously missing the mark on both.

Jessica B — Google review

Amazing hotel room. Just look at the view (directly from our hotel room window). Bed was huge and super comfy. Staff were very friendly. Food was good at the buffet. Plenty to choose from.Theme park was awesome. Love all the rides and the new Jumanji area was fantastically themed. Already booking for next year.

Marc D — Google review

It was a great day trip for the family. Kids really enjoyed. There was a long waiting period for some of the rides, which is normal unless you buy the first track. Overall experience was excellent.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chessington Adventure Park during my holiday, and it was an experience filled with joy and excitement. The park offers a plethora of attractions that cater to all ages, making it a perfect destination for family outings. The variety of rides and attractions is truly impressive, ranging from thrilling roller coasters to enchanting animal exhibits. Each ride and exhibit is meticulously designed, immersing visitors in a world of adventure and fun. The staff members are friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. One of the highlights of my visit was the animal exhibits. The park houses a diverse range of animals, providing an educational and entertaining experience for children and adults alike. It's not every day you get to see such a wide variety of animals up close! However, the park does have its drawbacks. The most notable one is the long waiting times for rides. During peak hours, the queues can be quite lengthy, which can be frustrating for visitors eager to experience the attractions. I would recommend opting for a Fast Track pass if possible, as this significantly reduces waiting times.Despite this minor inconvenience, my overall experience at Chessington Adventure Park was highly enjoyable. It's a place where fun meets adventure, and every visitor is guaranteed to leave with a smile on their face and memories to cherish.Would I recommend Chessington Adventure Park? Absolutely! Just be prepared for some waiting in line during peak times.

I haven't been her3 since I was a little girl. So to bring my child and make memories was magical. Staff was friendly all around the zoo. Even with the down pour of rain it was still a lovely day. Would recommend so much to do

Chelsea H — Google review

As a merlin pass holder, we are regulars at the park. Always enjoy ourselves. Even when busy there is plenty to do. If the rides are busy there is always shows to watch, activities, the zoo to look round and farm animals to see. Love the different seasonal shows they do.

Corinna F — Google review

Amazing theme park and zoo. I went there on a Friday and it was very busy. And Mandrill Mayhem broken down 4 times whilst I was in the queue for the ride. Only managed to get on 6 rides in one day. But it is a very good place to go. And the refill drinks are amazing. Lovely place

Noa B — Google review

Place is amazing for kids. You need to have a full day to enjoy all rides and exploring everything. Cafes and eating restaurants are bit expensive side but yes you can take your own packed food. Good walking shoes and comfortable clothing will be good idea because you have to walk a lot.

TINA M — Google review

Family day out. Great place. Lots o do for thrill seekers and those that prefer something a little more tame. Zoo area was interesting but I felt the area the animals have is small.Expensive to eat here, but easy to take a packed lunch and leave it in a locker you can hire for the day (£10 per locker per day, payable on the day by card via app only). Just collect when you are ready. Reasonably flat in most places and accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Parking was easy and in zoned areas. So much fun for kids and kids at heart.Ideally two days would be better to explore the whole park. But you can get a good five or six rides in one day if not too busy.We used the Chessington app on our phones which helped a lot. Download before you go to plan your visit. Free WiFi available in the park, which seemed to work.Lots more to see and do, can't wait to come back.

Debi R — Google review

Great day out however 5 rides broke down that day including one with me on it! This really affected the rides which my autistic siblings were able to go on as they don't like the big ones. I know it's part of a theme park for rides to break down but staff didn't care at all. If this were at Disneyland I would have been giving a fast pass as soon as this happened. The Zoo was great and I loved the talks about the animals!

Katie D — Google review

The theme park provided a very calming atmosphere, and it slightly reminded me of the Animal Kingdom. It was delightful to observe that the animals had a considerable amount of space within their respective enclosures.Regrettably, my six-year-old child only rated the experience as five out of ten because the majority of the rides had height restrictions that were too high for him. In all fairness, some of the rides did seem to have excessively stringent height requirements.Overall, it was a wonderful morning spent with my family. The Chinese characters displayed at the park's main entrance were aesthetically pleasing. I would highly recommend the chicken katsu curry with noodles.

Andrew H — Google review

I would highly recommend that if you're travelling more than 2 hours travelling distance from this place, stay overnight and make the most of the Early Riders hour before the park opens to the public because you can save yourself a fortune from having to do the book and ride thing to jump the queue. There's no getting away from the fact that a visit to this place is fantastic but - particularly any overnight stay - is extortionately priced. Take snacks and drinks in a rucksack or something to go round the theme park because we lost several pounds on vending machines that didn't work and there's no staff roaming around to be on assistance for anything. When we did have to ask a member of staff about a query, not one was able to help us because they only had knowledge of the exact area/job they were doing, which was very frustrating. Staff were very polite however and the ones in the restaurant were particularly helpful.

Emma ( — Google review

We visited the park on Good Friday, which happened to be a busy day. We had to queue for a few rides. However, it's an excellent place to enjoy with young children. If you have a baby, be prepared for a lot of walking and bring a pram. The food in the main court wasn't the best, so I suggest exploring other dining options available. Fortunately, parking was easy and hassle-free.

Taran K — Google review

We came on a bank holiday in the rain and it was still a good day out!! Definitely book your tickets in advance, you can do so quite easily on the website. You can use the Chessington app to see which rides are open/closed through the day. There’s a zoo section of the park which is well worth a wander through, also SeaLife was brilliant! The rides are definitely more geared towards children but there’s plenty of fun to be had for the adults!

Beth J — Google review

Such a wonderful venue for young kids and parents too. My 5 year old did really enjoy all the rides she was allowed on while my babies liked the soft play area and the wide range of animals spread around the park. I would say 1 day is not enough time to do everything. I'd say it is more enjoyable as break if you live quite far. Definitely recommended 👌.

Yasmine E — Google review

Arrived here around 11am and easily spent about 5 hours here. There’s lots to do however the queues do build up very quickly. Recommend getting the big popular rides done and out of the way quickly ensuing shortest wait. Food and drink is always expensive about £5 for a Fanta and a water so be prepared for that. However great fun. Lots of animals and lots of rides

Sonny T — Google review

Excellent day out. Perfect for my 8 year old. Not all white knuckle rides but not childish either. Expensive, but that's expected. You'll need the ultimate ride pass to enjoy the day if going on the school holidays.

Jak M — Google review

Such a lovely theme park! I've taken my kids the last 3 years for the Christmas event which we all thoroughly enjoyed! We've booked a day out for this summer too, can't wait!

Anna I — Google review

Overall, the park experience was good. On average, a day trip would suffice, but be careful that queues for some of the rides can be long. I waited for more than an hour to go on one of the roller coasters' rides. The animal section was nice, saw some gorgeous looking tigers, playful baby gorillas, etc. It's worth a visit, but remember to bring along that soon screen 😉

Fanny N — Google review

I haven’t been for years! I took my son and nephew, it’s a great park very tidy and the wildlife attractions are very cool, only problem is the waiting times! We manage 4 rides in the entire day !

Luke F — Google review

Very good Park, although found it quite hard to navigate with the Map. Visited for the day but feel we missed so much getting a bit lost. The app was quite good for navigating and seeing queue times however, and our last ride was gone 5pm their close time which was decent. All in all a very good day out and not madly expensive either (unless you pay to eat there).

Paul W — Google review

We visited the amusement park last week, and honestly, the experience was mixed. We arrived almost at opening and stayed until closing, but despite spending the whole day there, we didn't manage to go on nearly as many rides as we wanted. The main issue was the incredibly long lines. For example, we waited over 40 minutes for the "Croc Drop" ride, and the actual ride lasted maybe two minutes, if that. This was really disappointing. The same thing happened with other popular attractions.Ticket prices are another downside. They are somewhat cheaper if you buy them online, but they're still quite expensive. Buying them at the park is even more costly, so it's better to plan ahead. Another negative is the price of food inside the park. The prices are noticeably inflated, so it's better to bring your own snacks if possible. To be fair, the rides themselves are quite good, and those who are willing to spend most of their day waiting in lines might enjoy the park. But overall, the experience was bittersweet: fun, but exhausting, and there just wasn't enough time to fully enjoy everything the park has to offer.

Martin R — Google review

Fantastic day out. Staff where amazing park was tidy and the rides where the most efficient I have seen at this park. The easter egg hunter was a great break away from the rides and made my daughter and I explore and ride rides in a different order.

DarkHunted01 — Google review

17 April. I don't recall any discount and yet, large parts of the park and rides were closed for no apparent reason. I wondered if attendance was so low they decided just to send staff home to not lose too much money. Rides such as vampire were closed as was Mexican zone.It really was very poor.We were parked in disabled near the entrance yet there seemed no practical way to get a wheelchair up the curb there. We needed to go several rows away from the entrance across very poor quality car park to get to a slope which was nowhere near the 3 or 4 disabled spaces provided near coach parking. The main entrance to the park was closed off so we had to go elsewhere. One of our party rented a mobility scooter which was very expensive. Parking was also full price at £7 and yet when we left we need not have bothered as the barrier was up anyway and anyone could have left whether they paid or not.Animals good, shame to see the lions had been fighting and were bloody. The talks by staff were interesting.Everything in the park, as they always were, was terribly overpriced. With great weather and everything open it's a good choice but, today, as much as I tried, I kept feeling I'd been conned

Had a great day at Chessington in the Easter holidays.Plenty to do (not as much for the smaller ones), didn't have time to do all the park but will be visiting again in July and will update this review to include Hotel stay.

I recently visited Chessington World of Adventures and had an amazing time! The park offers a fantastic mix of thrilling rides, engaging attractions, and a well-maintained zoo. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. The variety of activities caters to all ages, making it perfect for families. Additionally, the park was clean, and the dining options were good. Highly recommend for a fun-filled day out!

The rides were alright, the animals were quite cool. My favorite ride is the Vampire Roller Coaster. I went on a Tuesday, the wait time for most rides are around 15 minutes.

Jacky C — Google review

Such a brilliant day out for the whole family. The animals were great- personal favourite being the tigers! Also the rides were really good fun too and surprisingly didn’t have to queue for ages either even though it was a weekend. The sea life centre was amazing and very interesting so I would recommend that. The entire park was kept very clean and tidy. Overall I’d give it a 10/10 for a family day out. There is something for everyone.

Great place to take the kids. An amazing selection of rides for all ages, plus, during the day they have some lovely stage shows for children.Admission price is quite high and then on top of that, they charge £9 or £10 (if you haven't paid online) to park your car in a muddy field.Plenty of expensive places to buy a drink and or something eat.

It is one of the worst theme parks in the UK. It's probably one of the worst theme parks in the UK. It has a few good rides, but the rest are alright, and when I went, ever ride closed for at least 30 minutes!!!! Dragons Fury line closed, and they gave everyone in the queue a ride access pass!!! No halal donning and very few vegetarian options!!!

Eshan K — Google review

The park is fun, very suitable for kids. The staff were very nice and it was clean. And there were no big lines..The hotel was very old, and not that clean.. but there is an entrance from the hotel in the morning, and you get one hour before the general visitors in the park. And the staff is very nice.

Emery was brilliant, probably the most energetic and engaged zoo keeper I came across! Very knowledgeable and passionate. She made our day out with animals so much better, taught us a lot about gorillas, lions and owls! I’d be coming back solely to hear her talk again!Well done Chessington Park to get the right person for the job !The park itself is fantastic, rides for brave and not so brave, and animals were all out! So lucky!

Aleksandra G — Google review

Zoo was a bit of a let down but could be due to the time of year/weather, queues were fine and not as long as the boards guesstimated. kids enjoyed themselves plenty of toilets and refreshments kiosks overall a good experience would recommend.

John C — Google review

It sounds like a fantastic place to visit! Combining the excitement of a zoo with the thrills of a theme park would surely make for a memorable experience for families. Despite the long queues on ride, it seems like the enjoyment is worth the wait.

Rayyan ( — Google review

Probably the second best theme park in the UK. And the best is quite a distance from London so this is probably the most advisable one to visit if staying around London. The thing I like most about this theme park is that if your child is 5 years old and average height they would be able to get on all the rides here. You can't imagine how many theme parks I've been to that I've had to deal with one upset child or the other because they were excluded from many of the rides due to height restrictions. As you can guess this does mean there are no terribly, incredibly scary rides here but you still get some good thrills. My one criticism of the park is the layout is somewhat confusing and finding the entrances to rides seems so much more difficult than other them parks I've visited. There seems to be a section of the park I could not visit before closing time because so much time was wasted going round and round in circles trying to find entrances to rides.

Tuoyo-E — Google review

Great selection of rides my daughter will finally go on coasters now thanks to mandrill mayhem. The food is average and nor.al theme park prices we have an advantage as we have merlin passes which give us 20 percent of at certain food outlets in the park. We will definitely be coming back hopefully to one of the hotels this time

Excellent place to take kids for a break. Resort hotel is lovely. Adults can have there share of fun too.
