Position SummaryConducts quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects of public or private institutions. Collects and analyzes financial information for assigned accounts, products or product lines, or business units to track the organization's progress against financial goals. Reports current or expected financial performance and creates financial models to guide decision making. Analyzes cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to make recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls. Assists in the preparation financial statements and management presentations. Reports to the CFO of FHT.

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS

• Spreadsheet and Financial Modelling Wizard – can create linked workbooks with pro-forma financial models, complex multi-variate analyses, presentation quality charting, simulation, and must have the experience supporting management strategic decision making “what if” scenario analysis.
• Critical Thinker and Data Analyst. Natural problem solver and analytical thinker. Detail oriented. Can break complex problems down into spreadsheets, formulas, quantitative decision aids, and present results in clear, precise, concise summary executive presentations.
• Financial Accumen – understands accounting principles and can interpret complex financial data. Fluid with financial software included spreadsheets and BI system.
• Personal Savvy and Situational Discretion – successful candidate will have access to quantity of confidential/sensitive information in a private, family-owned company and will be involved in transactions that include personal information, financial data, and matters requiring sensitivity. Must be able to interact with family members, institutional partners, company officers, and Directors and leave good impression and engender confidence and discretion. Experience with family office, high net worth, personal financial management, or similar.

Minimum Knowledge, Education And Skill Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
• 1 to 5 years of relevant work experience. For those with less than 2 years of experience previous work experience in private equity or investment banking is preferred.
• Business operational or manufacturing experience required.
• Advanced spreadsheet expertise required including pro-forma financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement), multi variate simulation, and pivot tables.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Office 365 work environment. to advance reporting, modeling, analysis and communications across the company
• Experience with General Ledger System, the implementation of an ERP system as well as financial reporting systems, and BI middleware preferred.
• Analytical Thinking Skills, detail oriented, ability to meet deadlines, and strong oral and written communication skills.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Work within established research systems to deliver prescribed outcomes for a designated part of an economic research program.
• Contribute information to business cases to quantify current costs, justify project investment, and identify the return on investment.
• Provide financial modeling input into business cases, costs, and schedules to support growth in the business.
• Works with shareholders and service providers (banks, accountants, etc.) to plan and execute shareholder related financial transactions including dividend distribution, taxes, and other family trust matters.
• Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports.
• Collate and analyze data using pre-set tools, methods and formats. Involves working independently.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.
• Provide information and clarification on existing procedures, processes and precedents.
• Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice.
• Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring the most complex issues to others.
• Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
• Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses beginning to work knowledge of subject matter.
• Other duties consistent with the general nature and focus of the position and/or the goals and objectives of the department may be assigned.

Essential Functions

• PHYSICAL AND COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS
• Category #2 (Hybrid Employee): Employee requires regular travel to a Flexcon facility and will require a dedicated remote and onsite office space (must work on-site a minimum of 2 days per week).
• Must be able to work extra hours as needed.
• Must be punctual, able to sustain attendance guidelines, and work hours as assigned.
• Estimated % of travel is 10%.
• Option 2: Driving while on company business is required for this role on an infrequent basis (defined as anyone that drives on company business between 1 – 49 times per year not including regular commute to work).
